Sandbox vs production
Two separate environments, each with its own account, keys and URL.
Zoorya Pay has two separate environments. Sandbox is for building and testing: it moves test money only, and you can sign up in minutes. Production is for real customers and real money, and your business must be approved first. An account, API key or transaction in one does not exist in the other.
| Sandbox | Production | |
|---|---|---|
| Use it for | Building and testing | Real customers, real money |
| Merchant portal | merchant.sandbox.zooryapay.et | merchant.zooryapay.et |
| API base URL | https://sandbox.eclipse.et/eclipse-conductor/rest/v1 | To be announced |
| Sign-up | Quick: form + email check. No documents. | Full business verification and approval |
| API key works | Right away | After your business is approved |
| Callback URL | http:// works for testing | Use https:// |
Note:
There is no "test key" or "live key" switch inside one account. To go live you sign up again on production and create a new key there. See Go live.
Keep them apart in your code#
Store the base URL and key in configuration, not in code:
.env
ZOORYA_BASE_URL=https://sandbox.eclipse.et/eclipse-conductor/rest/v1
ZOORYA_API_KEY=zp-checkout-12345678:your-secret-hereGoing live is then a config change, not a code change.
